How do I join the community?


You can apply to join BTP as an artist with our simple sign up process. To do it, click here and enter your details.




Why should I join the community?


We believe that your amazing art deserves to be seen. That’s why we hand select artists from around the world and give them a platform to showcase what they can do. We handle production and shipping, letting you focus on what you do best - create amazing art.




Can I refer someone else?


Sure, feel free to let any artists know about BTP by sharing a link to this website on your social media pages, website or blog.





Payment, delivery and returns /

Is there any situation in which my order will be returned to sender?


If the carrier can’t deliver items to the address you supplied, they will return them to us. Usually, this happens when an apartment number or zip code is incorrect. Be sure to double check these. If you’re not sure of your zip code, you can look it up on https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action




Can I return my order?


You can cancel your order anytime prior to printing (for posters and inserts) or shipment (for lightbox frames) and you’ll get a full refund. If for any reason you’re not happy with your item once you receive it, you can return it within 7 days of the shipment receipt date to get a refund or store credit (shipping and handling charges will be deducted). Returned items need to be in their original condition and must include all original packaging materials and accessories. Additionally, you’ll need to cover the return shipping cost (prepayment). Note that BTP cannot be held responsible for damage incurred during shipment to or from you. Want to start your return? Contact hello@betterthanplaster.com. What do I do if my order is damaged?


If your order is damaged, please contact our support and include a photo. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.




What if my package is lost in transit?


For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 4 weeks after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.




How long is fulfilment time?


Orders are usually fulfilled within 2 business days and shipped out within 3 business days thereafter.




Why is my order taking longer to be fulfilled?


In some cases, fulfilment time may take a little longer. This could occur for a number of reasons. If you have been waiting for longer than 5 business days for your order, please get in touch with us on hello@betterthanplasdter.com




When will my order ship out?


Orders are shipped in under 5 business days from the time you place your order.




Can I cancel my order?


You can cancel your order up until it has been shipped out. If you want to cancel please do so as quickly as possible.




How do I pay for my order?


You can process your order with PayPal or by paying with your credit card in the PayPal payments page.




Where is my delivery?

Using your lightbox /

How do I clean the lightbox?


When used daily, make sure to clean the surface of the lightbox regularly. Wipe dust and fingerprints away with the included cleaning wipe. When the lightbox gets dirty, dilute detergent or alcohol to water (1:1000) and use a cloth dampened in the solution to clean the front panel while unplugged. Do not clean with acid, alkaline or any oily substances.




What do I do if my lightbox won’t turn on?


Your lightbox contains intricate electrical components. Please do not try to fix or change these. In this case, be sure the lightbox is plugged into the outlet. If it still does not turn on, contact us on hello@betterthanplaster.com




Does the lightbox need to be connected to electricity?


Yes, in order for the lightbox to operate, make sure the plug is inserted into an outlet. Note that LED lighting is efficient, so even when plugged into a power source for a long time, it does not consume a large amount of electricity.




Can you hide the AC cable?


If you wish to hide the cable in your drywall, unplug the switch cord, and pass the AC cord through the wall. Then reconnect to a switch cord near the plug.




Is my lightbox covered by a warranty?


Your lightbox is subject to a 12-month warranty from the date of production.




Does Proposition 65 have any effect on me?


Proposition 65, California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is the law that requires all businesses to provide customers with warnings about significant exposure to chemicals that cause cancer, birth effects, or other reproductive harm. We are committed to the safety of our products, and encourage you to use them safely and responsibly. Note that these products (posters, framed posters and inserts) may contain the chemicals on the list including carbon-black extracts, which according to the State of California is known to cause cancer if consumed in unsafe amounts.




How do I replace the art?


Replacing the artwork in our lightboxes is super easy. First unplug the lightbox from ac and place on a flat surface. Using the attached suction cup lift the front magnetic panel. Place the new insert inside place and just close it back. It’s as easy as 1,2,3 but if you still need full instructions, you can find them here

How do I sign up for the BTP website?


At the top of the page, right hand side, you’ll see a dropdown that lets you register to become a site member. There, you can add your email address and create a password. After signing up, you can log in and out using the login button. Once logged in, you will have a private "My Account" page where you can add their personal details. This page can only be seen by you.




I can’t log in, what should I do?


If you’re having trouble signing in, make sure to double check that your email address and password are correct. You can also clear your website cache. If this doesn’t work, contact us on hello@betterthanplaster.com




How do I apply a coupon code?


To take advantage of special offers, enter the promo code on the cart page and click Apply. The reduction will be automatically calculated.
